Development of a multi-page website for Hayal Online Turkish Language School. The client already had a website that did not suit her in terms of visuals and structure. We got in touch, discussed the project and decided to expand the lending to a multi-page site, so that each page would present only one service (in our case, selling a course)
About client
Hayal Online Turkish Language School. The school offers courses from zero to level B1, as well as individual lessons and the opportunity to purchase an electronic manual for self-study.
Prototyping
I reorganised the structure of the entire site, added important blocks for the target audience, and wrote new text that reflected the values and positioning of the school. Now every block on the website answers questions and objections from potential pupils of the school, thus reducing the manager’s workload.
Moodboard
During the moodboard stage we decided on the style, new colour palette and fonts for the site.
Before redesign
Before that the client had already had experience of creating a website, but it did not meet her request in terms of functionality and visuals, so we did not focus on the past site and did everything from scratch.
Solution and the result
Based on the moodboard, we’ve gone with the following:
lighter colours, with highlighting of bright accents
each product will have its own accent colour (course A1 — crimson, course A2 — purple, course B1 — emerald, e-book — orange).
added drawn illustrations and small elements, a reference to airiness and lightness.
left the typeface readable and added drawn type for emphasis
showed the inside of the training and platform, this gives credibility and a sense of ‘insider information'
Additional pages
For each product we have chosen a colour that goes well with the main brand colour of the school, so people will immediately have an association with each course
Additional pages
The individual lessons page was made in a soft pink colour, and with the addition of emoji of the curators and teachers of the school.
Additional pages
On the page of conversation clubs we also implemented emoji of teachers, as conversation practice is the most active format in the school, students work very closely with teachers. We also divided each conversation club by levels, adding brand colours.
Additional pages
On the course sales page, we’ve added all the detailed content information as well as a visualisation of the learning platform.
