About project
Development of a multi-page website for a company that provides landscaping for offices, HoReCa, fitness and business centres in Samara and Togliatti. The client already had a website that didn’t suit her in terms of visuals and structure. We met, discussed the project and started working. The client chose the basic rate of website development, so there was no in-depth design development in this project, and I did not draw design concepts for her to choose from.
About client
Simple Plants is a growing company that provides plant care and landscaping services. It was important for the client to stand out among competitors with its positioning and approach to the business, as this website was aimed at a B2B audience.
Structure and prototyping
We discussed the structure, made it more user-friendly, simplified the navigation and made it accessible. Also in this project I offered my service of editing and proofreading texts, so we removed repetitive wording, made them easier and more comprehensible. Now every block on the website responds to the questions and concerns of potential clients, thus reducing the manager’s workload.
Moodboard
At the moodboard stage, we made a decision on the style, new colour palette and fonts of the site. We decided to completely depart from the usual format of B2B sites, introducing modern solutions in the visuals.
Before re-design
Before that, the client had already had experience of creating a website on her own, but it did not meet her needs in terms of functionality and visuals, so we did not rely on the old site and did everything from scratch.
Design solutions and result
Based on the moodboard we have taken as foundation:
bright accents and non-standard composition in blocks to attract users' attention
detailing the process of working on the project to show the transparency of work
animation for keeping users' attention
Customisation of standard blocks
One of the client's requests was to keep the standard blocks, as she planned to update the content from time to time. So I saved the standard blocks into ‘Our Projects’, ‘Our Team’, ‘Testimonials’ and ‘ FAQs’ and modified the code to make them visually indistinguishable from the rest of the individual blocks.
Inner pages
On the maintenance page we kept the general style of the homepage, added new blocks and content, as well as animations to keep the user's attention and optimised the space on the website.
